Pierre GAFFIÉ

Picture

born in Brive-La-Gaillarde, Pierre studies philosophy and audiovisual in Toulouse.

A cinema Host for France 3 and then for Canal Plus alongside Philippe Gildas in the program "Nulle Part Ailleurs."

The director of such international award-winning fiction films as "Relativity explained to children," "20 meters of love in Montmartre," "Radio Moon," and "Apocalypse Notes"

The producer for France 3 of the book adaptation of "Unknown to this address" by K.K. Taylor, He teaches cinema at Efap and at Icart Paris.

In "Obliques," a film show created in June 2005 on Fréquence Protestante, the ambition is to draw diagonals in space and time. The word is given to filmmakers from all countries, but also to artists who rarely express themselves in the media: editors, stage designers, and musicians.

Cinema is a collective work.

The “obliques” in time concerns films from the history of cinema that are put into perspective in the program, Because in cinema, we don't know what the past ...
has in store for us.

Sandrine Bonnaire
was the sole guest (in every sense of the word) of "Obliques", in February 2021.
Pierre Gaffié questions this actress apart, this singular director, this soul in perpetual movement, without pretense or easy demagoguery.
